Take Back Control With These Closet Organization Tips!

Our closets are usually the place where we throw everything into and deal with it later. Most people say they don't have the time to organize their closets since it is such a mess already. Well we are here to help you out with some greats tips to turn your closet around and into an organized space.

Sort and purge

Completely empty your wear on a regular basis, and what is simply taking up valuable space. Set aside any seasonal items to be put in airtight containers and taken to your indoor self storage unit until you need them again. closet and sort your clothing into three piles: keep, donate and store.

Use vertical space

If you have high ceilings in your closet, make use of the space! Shelves are a fantastic way to keep your clothing organized. Use them to store extra purses or formal shoes that you don't use very often. That way, you'll be able to free up some space to get more organized elsewhere.

Separate into categories

The key to closet organization is keeping your clothing separated into categories - this goes for both hanging and folded items. Group all of your jackets together, all of your jeans etc. and stick with it! It will make it much easier to get ready for work in the morning.

Over at the Ana White Blog, she posted a very smart way to create even more space in your closet space by building your very own bifold closet door. Now you can store more purses, shoes, or anything else you have in excess in your closet.
