Celebrity Rec Room Tips!

If you've just emptied out your basement and put everything in a storage rental unit, one of the best ways to utilize that large space is to turn it into a game room or recreation center. There's nothing like coming home after a long day at work and hanging out where you have a pool table, table tennis and movie center all in one room. Celebrities feel exactly the same way. From expensive memorabilia to a theater seating, to full wet bars and marble-trim railings, celebrities pull out all the stops when they take want to relax at home. Here are some of the most extravagant celebrity basements turned into rec rooms:

LeAnne Rimes

LeAnne Rimes outfitted her rec room with the finest polished marble tiles and plush leather furniture. Plenty of natural sunlight enters through floor-to-ceiling windows that open up to her lavish backyard property. It features a full bar and kitchen, an oak-trimmed billiards table and an eight-person professional-grade poker table. When she isn't in the mood to play any games, she can relax next to her subterranean fireplace or in her luxurious open bathtub facing the open Nashville, Tenn., countryside.

Jennie Garth

The former "Beverly Hills 90210" star laid out her game room with style, putting hardwood floor on every inch of her basement. It also features a standard-sized pool table, a five-person leather poker table and chairs, and inviting leather sofas in the media room. Coffered ceilings and moldings also accent her basement-turned-haven.
