Many people choose ranch-style houses for their architectural design, while others appreciate the convenience of not having to walk up and down long sets of stairs every day. However, space can become an issue. Many families choose to make up for a lack of room by renting cheap storage units in which to place their belongings. Celebrities also love the design of this style of housing and have spent a lot of money creating the home of their dreams. Here are a few celebrity ranches that are much larger than normal ranches, but might inspire you to do the same:
Singer-songwriter Carole King lives on a sprawling 129 acres in Central Idaho. With a price tag of $16 million, her home has a view of the pine-covered White Cloud and Sawtooth mountains and featured five bedrooms and two baths. It overlooks the Warm Springs Creek and includes a 1,825-square-foot caretaker's lodge, a recording studio with a guest apartment, a pool, equestrian facilities and a large greenhouse garden.
Hollywood actor Dennis Quaid owns one of the most beautiful ranches in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Costing almost $14 million and covering more than 2 acres, the land features a main house covered in gorgeous ivy. With eight bedrooms, eight baths and multiple fireplaces, Quaid has plenty of room to entertain his guests. The house also features a gym, wine cellar, full-length pool and a spa. Next to the main house is his sprawling barn for horses, a corral and a private horse/foot path that leads to Will Rogers Park.
Sitting on 745 acres, Goldberg's expansive estate includes a beautiful 1790 colonial home, multiple out buildings, barns and a two-bedroom bunkhouse. Goldberg loves horses, so she built an enormous equestrian facility and groomed the surrounding 15 miles of woodland trails and 67-plus acres of open pasture.
